

Dr. Marco Antonio Cueva, DDS, MS
Periodontist
Dr. Marco Antonio Cueva, DDS, MS, was born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Federal University of Paraná in 1988, followed by three additional years of advanced training in periodontology and dental implantology at Camilo Castelo Branco University in São Paulo, completing that program in 1991. He later continued his training at Baylor College of Dentistry, where he completed his periodontal residency in 2002 and received a Master of Science in Oral Biology along with his certification in Periodontics from the Texas A&M University Health Science Center – Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Cueva is Board Certified by the American Board of Periodontology and maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the American Board of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Periodontology. He continues his education every year and has completed advanced programs including the Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique and advanced bone grafting at the Urban Institute in Budapest. He is committed to elevating patient care and strives for his practice to be recognized as the #1 grafting and implant center in the DFW area. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Cueva has served in several academic leadership roles. He has been an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University Health Science Center – Baylor College of Dentistry and was Assistant Director of Postdoctoral Graduate Periodontics until 2007. He is also Director of the Periodontal Plastic Surgery Course and has been invited internationally to lecture on dental implants and esthetic periodontal procedures. His published work includes articles and textbook chapters related to periodontics and periodontal plastic surgery. Dr. Cueva has been practicing in the area since 2006. He is a father of three - Marco, who is following in his footsteps and attending dental school at Texas A&M; Maria, who is an attorney; and Maura, who is attending business school. He loves animals, enjoys all sports (especially soccer), and is active in his church. He also travels to the Amazon for mission trips, where he serves communities in need. Above all, he cherishes time spent with his family.

Dr. Lucy Nagashima, DDS, MS
Prosthodontist
Dr. Lucy Nagashima is a prosthodontist recognized for her expertise in restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry. She earned her DDS from the University of São Paulo in Brazil and completed her prosthodontic residency and master's degree at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. Dr. Nagashima focuses on full-mouth rehabilitation, implant restorations and smile design with an emphasis on precision and comfort. At Texas Implant & Dental Specialists in Plano, Texas she collaborates closely with Dr. Marco A. Cueva to deliver seamless specialty care. Her attention to detail, artistry and dedication to patient satisfaction help create natural, confident smiles that look beautiful and feel lasting.

Dr. Aaron Herschberg, DDS, MSD
Periodontist
Dr. Herschberg is an Associate Periodontist who joined the practice in 2026. He is proud to be part of a collaborative, motivated team that shares a commitment to clinical excellence and prioritizes exceptional patient care. Born in Miami, Florida, and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, he is passionate about bringing world-class periodontal and implant care to the community he calls home. Drawn to the surgical complexity and life-changing impact of periodontics, he values building strong connections with patients and colleagues while creating a positive, comfortable experience for those in his care. Dr. Herschberg earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida prior to receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. He went on to pursue advanced specialty training at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he completed his Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry. Throughout his residency, he sought training with some of the most respected minds in the specialty, including the renowned Tarnow/Chu Institute at NYU School of Dentistry and advanced soft tissue coursework with Dr. Edward Pat Allen, a pioneer in minimally invasive soft tissue grafting. Outgoing, motivated, and caring, Dr. Herschberg is committed to continually advancing his clinical skills. He has attended continuing education courses across the country to build a strong foundation of clinical excellence and contribute to the Texas implant team. He is especially proud of his bedside manner and strives to bring positivity, comfort, and attentive care to every patient interaction. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, exercising, exploring national parks and new cities, spending time outdoors, cooking, painting, sculpting and live music.
